Worst Holiday Ever

Worst holiday ever.

'Just lots of housework and disturbed sleep coping with Leah's broken ankle. She started getting around on her own yesterday a bit, even took a shower without waking me, and today did some baking and some laundry, though the pain is still considerable.

Today I finally got out and did the 9-mile hike I haven't done in 2 months, and then actually worked on a PeopleCount project with someone for 90 minutes! It was just enough to get a taste of what the last 2 weeks could have been like.

I gave blood yesterday and had 2 great conversations about PeopleCount.org, plus one so-so one, and a 4th person promised to get to the site- he had forgotten its name. So I was jazzed to work on it today.

There were other good things about the last 12 days, time with the kids and Leah, including some great conversations about how emotions determine what's real for us. And I had some new insights into Leah's psyche that'll support me being jerked around less. I was inspired to start a bunch of blogs (none of which I finished). I did about 5 hours of work on the book (while she was out breaking her ankle), and started some scripts for a cartoon.

And now it's time to let it go, again. My next chance is the 2nd week in Feb, in Hawaiii.
